My sympathy to the Glatt family on the loss of Mike. He worked with my dad (Dave King) at GE, I met Mike when they both bought Bengals season tickets together in 1970. Even though I haven’t seen Mike forever I always thought of him when I saw Gonzaga, I can remember my dad saying that was where Mike went to school. My dad passed away in 2005 and I’m hoping my dad was there to meet his work buddy and to talk about the good ol days

One of my favorite memories of Mr. Glatt was from when I was little, and it may seem like a small gesture, but it meant a lot to me. The way he knew something so small brought me joy. As a child, I would skip down the street to the Glatt’s house. Let’s be honest there was always something lively happening there. Of course as a kid, a can of soda was always something I looked forward to instead of the usual milk, juice, or water. It was better than candy or cake in my young mind. I would peak in the garage and there was always so many cans of soda pop. To me it was the Johnny's toy store of pop (if you remember the toy store from that time, you would understand). Mr. Glatt could tell I looked forward to this, maybe it was the way my face would light up with that childish grin when he would offer one, or he recognized the rare times I was shy when wanting to ask, because heck, I thought those were hard to come by. He would then say pick one! Then time after time I would stop by he would show me to the garage to pick one. It became our unspoken memory, and a kind gesture. I do believe he looked forward to those little moments just as much as I did. So as a tribute to Mike, a kind man, the one who knew just the smallest act of kindness would brighten my day, I shared a soda with my son in your memory. Thank you for being a part of my life from Easter Sunday brunches, birthday parties etc. I have the fondest memories of you and have no doubt the many other lives you have touched along the way. Thank you for letting us be apart of your time here with us, because we are all better for it. You have left a legacy and it lives on through your family and I know you are watching over them with pride.
With Gratitude and Love,
Lindsay (Willis) Pereira

Mike was a fun bridge partner, we had an 80+% bridge game last fall. The highest either of us ever had, possibly the highest ever in our club. We were both thrilled. He was loved and will be missed.
