Dear Lori and Family,
I was a young woman that George gave the opportunity to be his secretary at Square D. He was my boss but quickly became a mentor, friend, and like a second dad. I always admired his love of family and caring about people. I'm privileged I was a part of his life and will cherish the memories. God bless you all.
Love
Linda

To the Berry Family,
Thank you for sharing your father/grandfather/husband with us. (Linda, Judy, & Brad) He was so good to us and our parents.
I wanted to share with you as a special moment with George. It was when Mom had just passed away... He prayed over the 3 of us as we entered the "Club of both parents being gone." He began by proclaiming it is a club no one wants to join. It made a profound imprint in our hearts and how we would navigate this new season of our lives. We would like to now pray over all of you. May that Strength, Guidance, and Love that he prayed over us be felt by all of you as well.

I was fortunate to work with - or perhaps better stated - FOR George at Square D based on the fact that I was in awe of his leadership qualities. Whatever was initially established in that relationship led to a much greater honor. Thirty years ago I performed George and Lori’s wedding. In “practical true George fashion” - he gave me a pocketknife which I still have today. In the following years - our paths crossed several times at mutually supported ministry events. Having known Lori when she was “just a kid” - I am blessed to call them friends and am thankful for their lives and service. The memories of the just are blessed.

I watched this special video with an ever-increasing awareness of George's extraordinary persona and ever-increasing admiration of his amazing character, devoted family, and life-long contributions to the world around him.
I especially liked the photos of him sitting in a lawn chair overlooking the lake, Lori and him with their dog, and all the loving family events. And I felt a connection to the scouting photos, as my dad also received the Silver Beaver Award, was a lifelong scouting volunteer and advocate, my brother was an Eagle Scout, and I led my three daughters' troops and served on the Girl Scout Boards.
My own personal connection with George was as a member of Immanuel Church and the N KY Emmaus Community, in which we shared these families of faith.
De Colores, George. Rest in the Lord.

George was truly an inspiration to many people. He was a major influence on my career at Square D / Schneider Electric. He was not only my boss for several years, but a true friend. His volunteer work and care he showed towards all individuals is admirable. He will truly be missed.

I met Mr. Berry when I was 11 through scouting. At that time, kids always addressed adults respectfully by surname, so even at 60, I cannot bring myself to call him George. I have too much respect for him.
Anyway, he was cubmaster of the Independence cub scout pack at that time. My brother was in cub scouts and Mr. B asked me and a few other boy scouts to help him out. Over time, my parents became friends with the Berrys. We made many trips to "the Berrypatch" at Lake Cumberland as I grew up- all seasons. Some were working weekends improving the cabin, but most were fun weekends, swimming, boating, sailing and water skiing, hiking and target shooting.
I learned a lot from Mr B. to apply in every aspect of my life. He was a second father too me. RIP my friend and mentor. I'm sure Christ met you with a hug and a "well done my good and faithful servant".
SADDLE UP!
