Obituary of Shirley Schoonover

Shirley Ann Brown Schoonover, 50, of Brownstown, Ind., formerly of Independence, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a minister and children's education facilitator with Community Pentecostal Church in Independence. She was a member of the board of directors of Barbourville Pentecostal Youth Camp.
Survivors include her husband, David Schoonover; daughters, Andrea Fisk of Crittenden, Amberly Schoonover and Abigail Schoonover, both of Independence; sons, Josiah Schoonover, Jesse Schoonover and Jonathan Schoonover, all of Independence; her mother, Juanita Ann Brown of Winchester, Va.; a sister, Jeannie Bittinger of Paw Paw, W.Va.; and brothers, Gary Brown and Charles Brown Jr., both of Paw Paw.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Community Pentecostal Church, Independence. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.
