So sorry to see the passing of your dad, Deana. I didn't know him well but he certainly came across as a very stand up man.I am certain the world is not a better place without him in it. Our prayers are with you and your family.
I was really shocked and saddened last week when Jaime called to tell me about Deane's fall and condition that followed. He was a joy to talk with and visit I know he will be missed not only by the family but the many friends he had throughout the state. He and my sister Delzinna Belcher were friends back when she was Judge Executive and he in Transportation. I was with Jared and Alyson at the time Gina told them and I saw the hurt, emotions and love for their Uncle "D" from both of them. My heart and Prayers are with you and all the Family. Ralph
Dear Liz and Family, Dave and I send our most heart felt love and prayers for all of you. Like you we are grieving the loss of Dean and are reminded of his kindness, caring, humor, and dear friendship each time we see or touch the boxes or table that he made for us. We look forward to personally sharing with you when we visit Northern Kentucky. Sorry we are unable to be there in person to give you all a hug and our love. You are continually in our prayers. Carol & Dave
Deane Poore, I can some up my thoughts about this fine man in a simple word or two and they would encompass the message of our Good Lord Jesus. Who gave us the gift of Love and Deane Poore shared that gift with all he came into contact with in his walk down the pathway of life. We both grew up about the same time and watched each other play sports at neighbor schools. Simon Kenton and Walton and then Martha Layne Collins and Dr. Floyd Poore took us both to Frankfort with him and we worked ourselves day and night to do a good job for the citizens... I just loved the easy going gentlemanly style of his management whose methods brought out the best in his coworkers and friends. He was a contributor to life and we will miss him, but not regret in the trip he will now travel which leads to Heaven for He was a humble servant of the Lord. Love to his family and friends... Rob, please extend my sincere condolences to Deana and the family. The circumstances were terribly tragic -- I am so saddened by her father's death. I did meet him in 1995 when I played at Triple Crown. On behalf of the GMS Group, we would like to make a contribution to the Walton Verona Athletic Assistance Fund in Deane's name. Please forward me that info next week when things settle down. with love and prayers, Lou

Deane was a second father to me - I received many hugs and many admonitions from him. He, Lizzie, Deana and Greg welcomed me into their homes and hearts when things were not always going well for me. I will never forget him and I will always love him.
