Obituary of Kenneth Cole

Rev. Kenneth R. Cole, age 82, of Walton, died Sunday at his residence. Brother Cole was the Pastor Emeritus at First Baptist Church in Walton and had served as pastor at Russell Cave Baptist Church in Lexington and several other KY churches: Morehead, Dry Ridge, Mount Eden, and Franklinton. Upon retirement he continued to serve as interim pastor at numerous other churches in Northern Kentucky. In addition, Rev. Cole was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and previously served on the KY Baptist Executive Board, the KY Baptist Child Care Board, and as interim Director of Missions for Northern KY Baptist Association. Survivors include his beloved wife, Hannah Joyce Trout Cole of Walton; daughter, Dr. Carol Cole of Plano TX; sons, Steven Cole of Louisville, KY, David Cole of Park Hills, KY, and Glenn Cole of Athens, GA; (2) brothers, Dr. Thomas Cole of Houston, TX, and Charles D. Cole of Youngstown, OH; (4) grandchildren; (1) step grandchild; and (1) step great-grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at First Baptist Church of Walton, 47 South Main St., Walton, KY 41094. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon. Interment will be at KY Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown. Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Walton is handling the arrangements. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church of Walton.
