Obituary of Deborah Russell

Deborah Lynn Piper Russell, age 44, of Bethel, OH, formerly of Florence, KY, died Monday May 25, at her residence. She was a Training Specialist for Fifth Third and a Petty Officer in the Navy Reserves, where she completed a tour in Iraq in October 2008. Also, she was a member and historian of American Legion Post #288 and enjoyed motorcycle riding and running. She was preceded in death by her mother Jo Ann Green in 2008 and her sister Patricia Piper in 1989. She is survived by her father, Richard Piper of Estero, FL; step-father, Charles Green of Williamsburg, OH; brothers, James Piper of Florence, Raymond Carpenter of Cynthiana, and Major Michael Walton of Verona; sister, Connie White of Crittenden; and 26 nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, May 29 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 30 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at Floral Hills Cemetery.
