I used to love it when Mr. Cheesman would call me to talk about bluegrass music. Especially when Alison Krauss was on TV. As my wife would say "What a sweet man." Rest in Peace!

It sadens me greatly to hear of Mr. Cheesemans passing. I have many fond memories of him and his family. He was a improtant part of my life and the church. I will not forget him or his family for they are truly very special people. May God give you the peace and comfort that only he can provide. I will always be able to hear him cheer and coach at the many basketball, baseball and softball games, he will truly be missed. Our love and prayers are with you. Blake, Kim, Miranda and Mason Eisenschmidt.

Layne will always and has always had a special place in my heart. He taught me many things, Most importanly he made me the softball player I became. He and Coreta and his family made so many sacrafices for our team WA VE WA. Layne was so proud we he came up with that name. It was for all of us girls from Walton, Verona and warsaw. I will cherish so many memories and rides in the blue caddy to tournaments. God had gained yet another angel. Now he and Shirley "Shanks: Johnson can carry on memories about the good ole days, Layne you will be truly missed and in our lives forever.

So very sorry to know Layne leaves those he loved on earth. Frank & Marie Penick, my deceased parents, are among many who with the angels will welcome Layne into heaven. Its been over 40 some years since I moved from Walton but I will never forgot every kindness Layne and Coreta gave me and my young girls when I was struggling as a single parent.
