Obituary of Eliza Lanphear

Eliza Jane (Lykins) Lanphear 94, of Florence passed away Tuesday September 25, 2012 at Florence Park Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo, the beautiful flowers in her garden, and loved bird watching. She is preceded in death by her first husband James Arnie Lykins and her son Ben Kelly Lykins. She is survived by her two daughters Geraldine (James) Gleason of Morning View and Mary Lou (Gerald) Elliott of Walton; sister Florence Fulks of Campton, KY; grandchildren Ben and Bernie Heeger, John and Toni Gleason, Matt and Mary Jo Gleason all of Morning View, Wanda Vance of Independence, Yolanda Jane Elliott of Walton, Richard and Sharon Elliott of Walton, Roger and Sheila Vlieg of South Carolina, Randy and Alissa Kohlman of South Carolina; 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 5pm-8pm at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Funeral Service will be Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 2PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Beaver Lick Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Florence Park Nursing Home 6975 Burlington Pike Florence, KY 41042.
