Obituary of Irene Peebles

Irene Joy Spencer Peebles, age 75, of Walton, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a member of the WANA Club. Irene was also a member of Walton Christian Church, where she formerly was a deaconess, taught Sunday School, and participated in Christian Womens' Fellowship. Survivors include her husband (of 56 years), David M. Peebles; sons, David Spencer (Lisa) Peebles of Ellijay, GA, Clifford Raymond (Veronica) Peebles of Anaheim, CA, and Gregory Alan (Peggy) Peebles of Walton; grandchildren, Catelyn Peebles, Jessica Peebles Spencer, Gregory Glenn Peebles, and Ashley Morgan Peebles.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Walton Christian Church, 50 South Main St., Walton, KY 41094. Memorial service will begin at 12 noon at the church. Interment will be at Walton Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice or Walton Christian Church.
