Obituary of Betty Piercefield

Betty Ann (Fryman) Piercefield, Erlanger, Kentucky, born October 20, 1935. Ms. Piercefield died Sunday August 19th at 6:37 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna C. Fryman and William C. Fryman and twin siblings Alan and Audrey Fryman. Ms. Piercefield is the mother of Jo Ann (Jack) Benson, Edgewood and Helen Piercefield, Taylor Mill. She is the proud grandmother of Faith Ann Benson, Brooks Dean Benson, and Alyssa Marie Benson. Sister of Billy Fryman, Crestview, Florida, Helen Howard, Lakeland Florida, Johnny Fryman, Milan, Indiana, Linda Adams, Park Hills, Kentucky, Terry Fryman of Verona, Kentucky, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was a member of the Full Gospel House of Praise in Independence. Prior to that, she was an active member of the Erlanger Church of Christ in Erlanger. She was Sunday School Treasurer and taught pre-school Sunday school class. She also taught vacation bible school and chaperoned the teenage choir group the "Echo's" on numerous singing trips.
As a life member of the National PTA Association, Betty worked at both Holmes High School in Covington and Ninth District School in Latonia where she served two terms as president. She won numerous awards and arranged many programs with Kenton County and Covington Police Departments. She managed numerous events, attended conventions, and assisted in auditing the books.
Betty was a member of the Walton Chapter of the International Lions Club Organization where she was a Life Patron and has her name on the Wall of Fame at the Louisville Eye Foundation. She was a Kentucky Colonial, a member of the local FOPA, Moose Lodge, and a past member of the Eastern Star.
Throughout her life she worked for Premier Inc., Shillito's, Kelly Girls, Derringer, Levi's, Formica Corp., and Northern Kentucky Greater Cincinnati Airport.
Ms. Piercefield suffered from congestive heart failure, diabetes, and kidney failure. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association, Diabetes, Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation, or The Kidney Foundation.
A memorial will be held on her birthday, October 20th to celebrate her life at Chamber & Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. The time and details will be announced at a later date.
She had a huge love of God, family, friends and life. She embraced life to the fullest and loved to laugh. She was the happiest when she was on the beach enjoying the sand, sun, and water or traveling with her loved ones. She will be missed by all that knew her.
