Obituary of Benjamin Heeger

Benjamin George Heeger Sr., 70, died Tuesday at his home.
He was a Roadway truck driver for more than 35 years, member of St. Cecilia Church in Independence, member of Local Teamster No. 100 and member of Bradford Masonic Lodge No. 123. He also enjoyed hunting.
His son, Matt Heeger, and brother, Louie Heeger, died previously.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Heeger; daughters, Julie Supinger, Nancy Kenter, Gevana Hicks, Dorie Fugate, and Anastasia Heeger; sons, Ben II, Jeff, Fred, Jeremiah and Zachary Heeger; sister, Betty Schaefer; brother, Jim Heeger; 27 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon with service following Friday at St. Cecilia Church. Burial will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery. Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence, is handling arrangements.
