Obituary of Robert Russell

Robert Lee Russell, age 85, of Union, KY, died Saturday, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, KY. Mr. Russell was a retired Scientific Glass Blower for Procter & Gamble and a member of the American Scientific Glass Society. A U.S. Army Veteran of WW II (11th Airborne Division), he enjoyed being outdoors and was a member and former Trustee of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Independence.
Survivors include his wife (of 65 years) Elizabeth Dickson Russell; daughter, Jennifer R. Wilson of Union; grandson, Cody Gabbard of Washington D.C.; and sisters, Marilyn Carter of Independence and Bonita Points of Louisville. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorials may be made to Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11969 Taylor Mill Rd., Independence, KY 41051.
