Obituary of Jessie Bass

Jessie Marie Hensley Bass, age 84, of Florence, went on to be with the Lord, Monday, May 7, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. Jessie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and a member of Florence Baptist Church. She was an avid walker, who also enjoyed bowling, and was a former volunteer for the Hope House. Her son, Phillip Bass preceded her in death in 2000. Survivors include her husband (of 62 years), Henry C. Bass; daughters, Jan (Al) Burden of Union, Judy (Bill) Wells of Covington, and Kay (Jim) Markesbery of Burlington; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Williamstown.
