Obituary of Joseph De Stefano

Joseph J. DeStefano, age 74, of Independence, died December 29, 2011, at his residence. He was a retired self-employed contractor, who enjoyed wood working and building things. Two of his sons, Michael and Darren, preceded him in death. Joe was one of seven children. His surviving children are Anthony, and two daughters, Cheri Duff and Christy Hamilton. He is also survived by two brothers, Anthony of California, and Nick of New York. He has five grandchildren, Darren DeStevens and Jillian DeStevens, both of New Orleans, and Kamryn, Blake, and Preston Hamilton of Ft. Mitchell. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Judy. Memorial service will be Friday, January 6, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Chambers & Grubbs in Independence. Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice
