Obituary of Barbara Mae Griffith

Barbara Mae Griffith, 73, entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. The daughter of the late Emil Leroy Slater, Sr. and Alma Pauline {Springfield} Slater, Barbara was born in Cincinnati, OH on November 23, 1950. Barbara enjoyed collecting porcelain wedding dolls, cooking her famous country meals for family gatherings, and caring for the many animals she had over the years.

She will be greatly missed by her son, Matthew Slater, and her siblings, Emil “Butch” Leroy Slater, Jr., Rebecca “Becky” Rose (Henry) Brinkman, Robert “Bob” Slater, Bonnie A. Dunihue, William “Bill” Paul (Tammy) Slater, and Bradley Blake Slater.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Griffith, and brother, Bruce Slater.

A visitation will be held between 10 AM and 12 PM on Wednesday, October 30^th at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy Florence, KY 41042. A graveside ceremony will be held at approximately 12:30 PM at Highland Cemetery, 2167 Dixie Hwy Fort Mitchell, KY 41017.
