Obituary of Janet Blevins
On Friday, August 30, 2024, Janet Blevins made her final move to be with her heavenly Father, after a five-year battle with ALS. The daughter of Betty {Hughes} Enns and Franklin D. Miles, Janet was born in Pekin, Illinois on April 2, 1962. Janet received an Associate’s degree in Fashion Merchandising at Ray College of Design in Chicago, IL and later moved to Tennessee where she resided for most of her life. Having a passion for retail, Janet spent her career working for various retail stores such as Kmart, Walmart, and most recently Burlington Coat Factory.
In her past time, Janet enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a great adoration for dogs and cherished her two beagles Baylee and Doolee. Janet also loved spending time with her Stoneharbor neighborhood family; she was blessed to have gained friends like Amanda, Judy, and so many others.
Janet is survived by her husband, Mark Blevins; son Troy (Karri) Blevins; daughter Heather (Derek) Caperton; grandchildren Tyler, Victoria, Kaitlyn, Estella, Gwendelyn, and Kaylee; great granddaughter; Lorelei; sisters Debbie (Howard) Miles and Angi (John) Baker; brother Aaron (Kasi) Enns; sister-in-law Anne Fanning; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her daughter Tracey Blevins; sister Kimberly Craig; stepfather Gene; brother-in-law Ed Fanning; as well as her paternal and maternal grandparents.
A visitation will be held between 4 PM and 6 PM with a memorial service to immediately follow at 6 PM on Wednesday, September 4th at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051.
