Obituary of Helen S. Miurha
Helen S. Miurha, 81, transitioned from her earthly life to her Heavenly one enveloped in the love of family on July 19, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Florence, KY. Born on July 26, 1942 in Peliesele, Weno, Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia, she was the daughter of Koto Enu and Betty Penges. Married to her late husband Vicente Miurha.
A parishioner at St. Paul Church, Helen was a dedicated Catholic and special devotee of the Virgin Mary.
Proverbs 31:31 “Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”
She was the beloved mother of Tsta (Kennon) Coleman, Kapier (Tatsina) Miurha, Henby (Martha) Miurha, Murao (Marcelly) Miurha, Ritem (Neisan) Miurha, Mary Grace (Stanley) Miurha, White Miurha, Sutauo Miyura, Francisco (Kenopepa) Miurha, Darlene (Chuuki) Miurha, William (Eileen) Miurha, Saiury Miurha, MerryJoe (John) Miura and Kire Miurha; a dear sister to Marciana, Narsen, Brown, and Tamuo; a treasured grandmother to 57 grandchildren as well as a adored great-grandmother to 78 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy, Florence, KY, 41042. A Vigil Service will be celebrated directly following the visitation at 12:00 PM, also to be held at the funeral home. Afterwards, Helen will return to Weno, Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia for the Rite of Committal and burial, which will be held at the convenience of the family.
