Obituary of Myra J. Day

Myra Jo Ashcraft Day, age 81, of Highland Heights, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY.  She was a retired Staff Accountant for XPEDX/International Paper Company (for 31 years) and a member of Christ Baptist Church in Cold Spring, KY. She had a strong commitment to her church, although she was unable to attend due to her physical ailments.    Myra loved taking long drives and playing card games with her many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Wootson J. Ashcraft and Ruth H. Koenig Ashcraft, her son, Victor Warren “Guy” Day, and her brothers, John M. and Kenneth W. Ashcraft.  Myra is survived by her sister, Esther Ashcraft Webb and nephews, Richard (Ric) Webb and Wade Webb.  A "Homegoing celebration" for Myra will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Christ Baptist Church, 3810 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076.  Her visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 5 p.m., at the church.  Memorials may be made in Myra’s name to Christ Baptist Church or the charity of one’s choice.  For directions, to view her Life Tribute Video or to leave a condolence for the family, please go to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
