Obituary of Charles O. Atkins

Charles O. Atkins, 87, of Erlanger, died Sunday at Baptist Village Care Center, Erlanger. He was a retired welder with American Laundry Machine Co., Norwood, Ohio, and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Independence. His wife, Vesta Blanche Atkins, died in 1999. A daughter, Mary Louise Haley, died in 1987. Survivors include a son, Charles Edward Atkins of Crittenden; a daughter, Patricia Ledford of Florence; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at noon Wednesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill.
