Sure will miss you down here in Florida Len! The great times we all had going to the port for seafood and just all being together. The delicious tomatoes you would share with us and of course your sweet smile and helpfulness and zooming around on your golf cart.
Love and hugs to you Karen and will keep you in our prayers!

For years, I've told everyone that would listen that I raised my daughter with three guiding principles...
1. Give more than you take.
2. Spend less than you make.
3. Be true to yourself.
I just realized that in addition to being my boss, mentor and friend, Lennie was the inspiration for these guiding principles. Thanks to Raymond L. Collins the world was a better place and I am a better man.

Lennie welcomed me to Nicholson when I opened the Convenient Food Mart/AmeriStop back in January of 1979. Opening my own business was daunting but having Lennie as my landlord was the best. He was always around to lend a helping hand, introduce me to the members of the community and made me feel welcomed in the community. He was always around with a smile, a laugh and a great story. Nicholson has now been home for me and my family for 45 years and Lennie was a huge part of that. Best landlord ever for 30 yrs. Prayers for Karen, Julie, Patrick and all those who love him. His legacy will live on for generations to come because of the lives he has touched

It will not be the same without you as a neighbor. All the things we did, the stuff you helped with and all the things you taught me. I know you are up there watching over us. I will do my best to keep things going.

Some of my earliest memories are of Lennie driving that old green Chevrolet pickup he used to have. When I was an adolescent, I used to walk over and bother him constantly while he tried to get work done in the shop behind his house. It never seemed to bother him at all, which means a lot to me now. Been years since I saw him, but I can still hear him calling me "Adam Ant." Best wishes to his family. I know this is a massive loss for everyone.

It is with a heavy heart that I want to express my deepest sympathy to Karen and Lennie’s family. We have shared so many fun memories with Lenny and Karen on the Kentucky motors trips. There were so many practical jokes played and yet when help was needed Lennie was the first one that was there. When my husband’s service center caught fire he was the first one to bring equipment and whatever else was needed to keep my husband’s business running. Then when my husband died, he and Karen did so much to help me clean out all the stuff my husband had left behind that I had no clue what to do with. He was an amazing friend and a Godsend. Thanks for the memories Lennie. You will be terribly missed by so many.

Lennie was one of a kind and that was very evident with the love he had for his family and the community. He became a wonderful grandfather to our daughter, Carrie's children. He taught them many values and skills. We were so greatful for his love, his laugh and his patience. He will definitely be missed. Our Lord welcomed a wonderful angel to the Kingdom.
