Obituary of Patricia Ann Carroll

Patricia Ann Carroll of Independence, age 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2024, while in the comfort of her own home. She was surrounded by the love of her family and embraced by the ones who passed before her.

Pattie was born in Cincinnati, Oh on January 3, 1953, to the late Theodore and Alma (Bergen) McMahan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother /ya-ya and friend who will be missed beyond measure. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in life. Pattie also enjoyed reading and had a true passion for the history of all things WWII. Pattie worked outside of the home for many years, however, her true calling was taking care of her family. Pattie held a special place in her heart for Chrissie, her Westie, whom she looked after for 18 years.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Tom Carroll; loving children, Carlee (Chuck) Reimer, Katie (Ray) Grueter, and Keith (Rachel) Carroll; beloved grandchildren, Stacee (Stacey) Price, Charles Thomas (Sabrina) Reimer, Bailee Reimer, Kylee Grueter, and Ella Carroll; great-grandson, Jackson Price; siblings, Tim (Judy) McMahan, Kerin Hayes, Colleen McMahan, Dan (Diane) McMahan, and Sandy (Eric) Anderson; mother-in-law, Stella Carroll; other in-law’s, numerous nieces and nephews, and close friends who will cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Keith and Ken McMahan, and her father-in-law, Thomas Carroll.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051.
