I met Mike in fifth grade at Piner Elementary. We made big plans during those earlier years, some came true Most did not. in high school we rode together most days which always included a stop at the convenience store in Nicholson.. We shared many classes together during our time at Simon Kenton, and he was sitting next to me during the explosion. most weekends started out with either a football or basketball game and ended somewhere in Florence usually on dream Street. A lot of memories from those nights together probably thankful we don’t have a lot of pictures. Mike and I lost contact right after high school as he went his direction and I went into the military, after that, we reunited and had some good laughs. most recently we had a motorcycle trip to the red River Gorge, where I got him out on sky Bridge, although he was a little afraid of the height. That was a great trip and I will always remember it so long old friend you will be missed. I hope to see you soon.
Dad, I love you so much! My favorite memory was you getting to be at my wedding. You’ve always cheered me on in every endeavor, I know you still are. I miss you so much. Love, Squirt
