Obituary of Rosalyn "Jean" Jump

Rosalyn Jean Jump née Riley (86) of Crittenden, KY, formerly of Independence, KY died Tuesday May 14, 2024 surrounded by family. She graduated from Simon Kenton High School Class of 1956. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and her grandchildren.

Rosalyn was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Jump; her parents Arta and Julius Riley; her nephew Ricky Rieger and her grandson Joshua Jump.  Rosalyn is survived by 5 children; Dianna (Don) Combs of Crittenden, KY, Michael (Paula) Jump of Dry Ridge, KY, Steven (Sheila) Jump of Sherman, KY, Kevin (Laurelle) Jump of Phoenix, AZ, and Keith (Samantha) Jump of Dry Ridge, KY; as well as her sister Bonita Riley (Mike) Bishop of Austin, TX; niece Heidi (Jason) Chiappardi; her great-niece Ireland Chiappardi. She is also survived by her grandchildren Larissa (Adam) Wilson, Christopher (Terry Lynn) Jump, Nathanael Jump, Makaela Jump, Stevie (Michael) Huff, Tyler Jump, Jenna Jump, Adriana Rosano, Tayvin Musser, Bentlee Dyer, Chloe Dyer, Wyatt Schlueter, Annette (Chris) Monhollen, and Donny Combs; and her great-grandchildren Madelyn Wilson, Emmett Wilson, Jude Huff, Oliver Huff, Rowan Huff, Edith Jane Huff, Aubrey Kelly, Jayden Kelly, Harper Jump, Piper Jump, Derrick O’Nan, Morgan (Dylan) Combs, and Justis Combs as well as great-great grandchild LeeLynn O’Nan. Additionally, Rosalyn is survived by her good friends Nancy Wainscott, Jozetta Casson, Freda Kannady and Linda Riddell.

Visitation will be Monday May 20, 2024 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY, 41051 from 10:00 AM until shortly before the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM (also at the funeral home). Rosalyn will be laid to rest directly following the funeral service at Independence Cemetery, Independence, KY.  Memorial donations may be made in her name online to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
