Obituary of June Carol Brueckner

June Carol Brueckner of Crestview Hills, age 85, left this life behind peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Rosedale Green, surrounded by family.  She was born in Warsaw, KY on June 16, 1938, and graduated from Gallatin County High School. June retired from the IRS after many years of service. June genuinely loved life and took every opportunity she had to get out and enjoy different activities with her friends and family. She loved to be near water, whether it was sitting on the beach or boating on a lake. In her quiet time, she liked to read, especially poetry. June also enjoyed celebrating special events and holidays, as well as taking trips, but most of all she was dedicated to her family, her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters.

She was a caring mom, sister, and grandma. Her kindness and warm smile will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel {Stahl} Brown; siblings, Don Webster, Marie Webster, and Anna Joy Johnson; and her former spouse, Lloyd Brueckner.

She is survived by her loving children, Kim (Barry) Johnson, Jill (Keb) Bright, and Joe (Michelle) Brueckner; beloved grandchildren, Courtney (Kevin) Kreft, Zach Johnson, Chase (Grace) Bright, Logan (Elizabeth) Bright, Carley Brueckner, and Max Brueckner; great-grandchildren, Stella Kreft and Gabrielle Kreft; and her sister, Betty Stewart; as well as other friends and relatives who will cherish her memory.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, June will be laid to rest at Napoleon Cemetery in Glencoe, KY.
