Obituary of James "Jim" Edwin Sheldon

James “Jim” Edwin Sheldon, 74, of Walton, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Rosedale Green Nursing Home in Covington. The son of the late Edwin and Gertrude {Fritz} Sheldon, Jim was born in Cynthiana, KY, on November 11, 1949. He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree at the University of Kentucky and retired from the FSA where he held the title of County Executive Director.

In his spare time, Jim enjoyed dancing, listening to bluegrass music, and playing his guitar. He was a big fan of the NBA, and he loved watching both NBA and college basketball games. He always rooted for the underdog no matter what teams were playing. He loved watching old movies and westerns. Jim was most passionate about taking care of his yard and took great pride in his flower garden.

He will be sincerely missed by his sons, Tim and Matt Sheldon; sister Beverly (Bob) Kastan; and his loving ex-wife Paula Sheldon.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Gertrude Sheldon.
