Jan and I were at a Realtor outing at the Cincinnati Zoo. We actually had a great dinner there, and then zookeeper brought out a cougar on a leash. Zookeepers put the cougar on a table and everyone got to pet it. It was a full grown cat, maybe 135 lbs. its hair felt like a wire brush. It’s growling sounds would have put the fear of God in you if you had met it on a lonely-dark road. We had some fun times.
What can I say about my best friend to let you know how special she was to me. We were BFF’s for about 37 years. We sold real estate together, ate lunch together, laughed together, & had many disagreements, but being best friends, somehow, we overcame all the obstacles & hung together to the end. She taught me much about the Lord, & I taught her much about the Lord. Growing up differently, we both had some knowledge to give each other regarding the Lord. We both gained insight & wisdom from the other’s testimony. She was right by my side when I lost my daughter, Debbie. Her presence gave me strength. I will miss her, but know where she is today. She is in her heavenly home with Jesus and Sonny. She wanted nothing less than to go to Heaven when she left this earth. I knew her heart, & the hardship in life that made her tough, but Jesus soften that side of her, & prepared her heart to be with Him. I give Her daughter, Glenna, Kudos for taking such good care of both her mom, & her dad until the very end. I miss my friend, but know she is no longer suffering in pain. That fact alone makes her passing easier for me. She fought the good fight, she finished her race, she won the battle! Love you Jan, From your BFF,
