Malcolm Eugene "Butch" Spegal, aged 79, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born on February 7, 1945, Butch was the beloved son of Eugene and Beulah (Tungate) Spegal.
Throughout his lifetime, Butch exemplified dedication and hard work, investing numerous years in the auto parts business where he eventually retired from Auto Zone in Alexandria, Kentucky. Additionally, Butch was a member of Butler United Methodist Church in Butler, Kentucky, where he had many dear friends.
Butch leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will endure through the memories he created with his family and friends. He is survived by his niece, April Garner (Doug), and great-nephew, Jordan Garner.
An intimate graveside service to honor Butch's life will be held at Carters Chapel United Methodist Cemetery, Carters Chapel Road, Gardnersville, Kentucky 41033 on Sunday March 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to Carters Chapel United Methodist Church or to Butler Christ Community Church, both organizations, close to Butch's heart.
Butch's departure leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his memory will be cherished and his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his warmth and generosity.
