Obituary of Ralph Claude Meenach

Ralph Claude Meenach of Independence, age 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Woodcrest Nursing Home in Elsmere, KY. He was born on August 22, 1929, to the late Elizabeth {Carr} Meenach and Henry Meenach in Bracken County, KY where he was born and raised on a farm. Ralph proudly served his country for 4 years in the United States Navy and retired after 36 years from Pepsi Cola where he worked as a Northern KY Sales Manager for 20 years. He officially retired in 1992 as the district manager in Falmouth, KY. Ralph was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, active at the Senior Center in Independence, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and on the Holy Name Society for St. Vincent Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending his free time outdoors, mostly in his garden and loved to spend time with his family. He was a father, brother, grandpa, and friend whose outgoing and loving personality will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, Ralph is preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve {Laker} Meenach; his daughter, Donna {Meenach} Prather; and his siblings, Ruth, Elwood, Helen, Carol, Faye, and Lucille.

Survivors include his loving children, Dave (Dawn) Meenach, Mike (Terrie) Meenach, Sandy Meenach, Rick (Dash) Meenach, Pam (Gary) Schneider, Michelle (Mike) Hickey, and Krista Meenach; son-in-law, Rick Prather; grandchildren, Chelse, Ashley, Amber, Cameron, Morgan, Evan, Grant, Jake, Ben, Jessica, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Avery, Savannah, Isaac, Kai, Ellie, Everett, Ezra, Addie, Emma, Calloway, James, Will, Hutton, Jade, and Grady; siblings, Irene Roseberry, Frances Ramsey, George Meenach, and Ray Meenach; as well as other friends and relatives who will cherish his memory.  

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM, at the church. Immediately following the mass, Ralph will be laid to rest next to his wife at St. Cecilia Cemetery.
