Bro. and Sis. Corgiat were instrumental in our early walk of faith. They were the godly examples a young couple needed to see. They gave sacrificially of their time and talents wherever needed in our little church. Bro. Corgiat was so much fun to be around - I, too, will never forget him playing Goliath in a church play. He truly had a heart that was larger than life. Though distance has separated us for the last 20 years, we have thought of the Corgiats so often with much love, admiration and affection. We so looked forward to their fun Christmas cards each year! Our prayers will be with Carol as she navigates life without Al by her side. He will be so missed, but always remembered with love - and Carol - we love you!

I remember Al as having a calming deep voice that was very effective when stressful situations would present themselves. I enjoyed talking to Al a lot and listening to his endeavors. I remember lending him an ice auger to use on a fishing trip to Lake Winnibigoshish for jumbo perch and he was so grateful. How could you not want to lend this man a hand. Apparently he liked fish because he kept a Koi pond in his yard and he would transfer his fish to his basement every fall before winter. I don't think he ever ate any of them though. He helped paint trim work on my house and was always willing to help out in any way he could. An appetite was mentioned...yes, Al had an appetite. I have so many different memories of Al. There was one time when some extremely hot pepper sauce was brought to work. Another co-worker put a couple drops on their hotdog and could barely finish one bite. Al proceeded to lay down a thick stream on his hotdog and didn't even flinch while eating that whole foot long. In remembering Al with a co-worker, one thing that really stands out is Al playing the harmonica throughout the jail.
A strong spiritual man he was.
Rest in Peace Al.

I knew of Alan through his loving wife Carol when we worked together as nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend, Wisc. for a number of years. She is a special lady and my heart goes out to her as she mourns the loss of her beloved husband Al. ✝️

I have two memories of Bro. Corgiat that bring a smile to my face. The first is watching him playing Goliath at the junior church camp. I remember how impressive and strong he looked in the armor. The other is seeing him attempt to eat an enormous pasty that my mom made him once. It was so big that it hung over the edges of the plate. Bro. Corgiat was truly a godly man, and I appreciate the Christian example he was for me as a young person. He was a gentle giant with a wonderful sense of humor. He shall definitely be missed.

I met Al and his wife Carol at church, Cornerstone Worship Center in Fond du Lac Wisconsin.
Been to his house just north of West Bend, WI. Yup, he gave me the tour. I remember the big fireplace that he and his son had made, the huge fireplace.
He asked me to be an usher at Cornerstone Worship Center several times.
You could not, not like or love Al.
Meaning it was impossible not to like or love Al.
He was very nice.
I love my friend Al.
