Obituary of Ina Everman Fenton
Ina Irene Vahlsing Everman Fenton, 76, went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2024. She was born the daughter of Fred Vahlsing and Della [Glass] Vahlsing on March 25, 1947 in Covington, KY.
Ina was a teacher. For many years she worked for Kenton County Public Schools at Twenhofel Middle School. Never one to stay idle, upon her retirement, she took a position at Community Christian Academy. She enjoyed scrapbooking, stamping and cheering on the University of Louisville Cardinals. Ina possessed the deepest of faiths. She taught Bible school and sang in the choir. A previous member of Hickory Grove Baptist, Burlington Baptist, and a current member of Kentaboo Baptist, she did all she could to bring in those needing the love and salvation of Jesus Christ, especially if they were on the younger side. This tremendous woman will be missed by so many, but we find comfort in knowing she has fought the good fight, she’s won the race and she’s reunited with her Savior.
Those left here on Earth to carry on Ina’s love, light and spunkiness are her beloved husband, Tom Fenton; her children Cynthia (Scott) Harrington, Jeffrey (Christy) Everman, and Michael Everman; grandchildren Julia, Alex, Elayne, Jonas, George, Anna; her treasured Everman family and dear Kentaboo Baptist and Hickory Grove Baptist Church families. Ina’s impact and legacy will also be fondly remembered by the copious amounts of young folks who she taught, cared for and helped nurture. Ina was preceded in death by her first love and husband Tom Everman.
