Obituary of John Taggart

John Taggart, 84, of Walton, KY, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at his residence. The son of the late John Taggart Sr. and Marie {Taylor} Taggart, John was born in Somerset, KY on January 14, 1939. He married the love of his life Margaret Louise {Mobley} Taggart, she preceded him in death on August 10, 2007. In his spare time, John enjoyed tinkering with his John Deere antique tractors, working on his property, and raising his Tennessee Walkers. He also enjoyed going out on turkey shoots and taking rides in his 2004 Corvette and ’37 Ford.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved daughters Kim (Larry) Manselle and Denise Buel; grandchildren Miranda (Kyle) Hawkins, Anthony (Quincey) Buel, Claire Buel, and Lance Buel; great-grandchildren Lillian, Rowan, and Penelope Hawkins; and brother Larry Taggart.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Louise Taggart, and sisters Joann Taggart and Margaret Eggleston.

A visitation will be held between 12 PM and 2 PM with the funeral service to immediately follow at 2 PM on Tuesday, January 16^th at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 North Main St. Walton, KY, 41094.
