Obituary of Ryan Smith

Richard Ryan Smith, age 38, of Independence, KY, went on to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. The son of Rick and Sandy Yeager Smith, Ryan was born in Ft. Thomas, KY, on February 9, 1985. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, friend, teacher, coach and mentor.  He was passionate about a lot of things in life including his family, friends, his ministry and most of all his unwavering walk with Christ.  Ryan served as a Teacher and Coach at Community Christian Academy and a member and youth group leader at Community Family Church in Independence, KY.   

In his spare time, Ryan enjoyed coaching, participating in, and watching sports.  His kids though were his world and he loved being with his family.

Ryan will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of (5 years), Noelle Nicole Wilson Smith; children, Calum Ryan Smith and Chloe Ann Smith; parents, Rick & Sandy Smith; brothers, Bradley Wayne Smith and Brent Allen Smith; and grandfather, Joseph Schwaller. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Conway Smith; maternal grandmother, Irene Schwaller; paternal grandparents, Burton Lee Smith, Sr., and Patricia Ann Smith; and mother-in-law, Donna Marie Rowe.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12^th at Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051. Ryan’s funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13^th at the church. He will be laid to rest at Independence Cemetery following services.
