Obituary of Carol "Dotty" Moore Rolen

Carol “Dotty” [Moore] Rolen, age 78, left to be with the Lord on December 3, 2023.

Born in Covington, KY, on November 20, 1945, Dotty was a proud graduate of Boone County High School class of 1963.

She found much joy in traveling, working in her flowers, baking, watching the UK Wildcats and her involvement in her church and church activities, spending time with family and friends. She had a very creative knack for making handmade cards in her stamping room, which was her happy place.

More than anything in this world, she treasured her family and friends; especially those who knew her only as Mamaw.

Surviving to carry on Dotty’s love and light is her daughter Krista Howell (Bill); stepsons Dean Lynn and Ty Rolen; step-daughter Mandy Rion (James); her grandchildren Justin Howell, Austin Howell, Kyle Lynn (Karla), Derrick Lynn, and Rosalie Rion; as well as great-grandchildren Nora Lynn, Porter Lynn, and Harper Lynn.

She leaves behind a brother William (Bill) Moore and many Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Dotty was preceded in death by her husband Norman Rolen; her parents; brothers Robert Moore, James Moore, Glenn Moore; and sisters Jean Morris, Marlene Ford, Geraldine Pinkerton, and Halene Moore.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Chambers & Grubbs, 8461 Dixie Hwy, Florence, KY, 41042 from 10:00 AM until shortly before the time of the funeral service at 12:00 PM. Dotty will then be laid to rest at Belleview Bottoms Cemetery, Burlington, KY.
