Obituary of Phillip Lee Malin Sr.

Phillip Lee Malin Sr., 63, of Florence, KY, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the VA Medical Center in Cincinnati. The son of the late Robert Lee Malin and Irma Lee {Carver} Malin, Phil was born in Dayton, KY, on May 4, 1960. He married his best friend, Kimberly {Jones}, on November 3, 1979. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran and spent 12 years in the service as Staff Sargeant. Phil was a member of the local VFW, American Legion, and Moose Lodge. In his spare time, you could find Phil watching UK Basketball, Reds, and Bengals games when broadcasted. He enjoyed golfing and he most of all loved to watch his grandchildren’s activities and sports.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Kimberly Malin; sons Phillip (Jennifer) Malin Jr. and Brett (Michelle) Malin; grandchildren Jacquline, Austin, Braden, and Lily Malin; siblings David, Robert (Sharlene), Sherry (David), Lola (Jeff), and Jeff (Sandy); and his grandpuppies Roufus and Lincoln.

In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his siblings Connie, Patty, Joyce, Danny, and Joey.

A Celebration of Life Gathering of Friends & Family will be held between 2PM and 5PM on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Central Park & Arboretum (Shelter #1), 9190 Camp Ernst Rd. Union, KY 41091.
