Obituary of Virgil Lee Vines

Virgil Lee Vines, 89 of Florence, KY, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY surrounded by his loving family. Virgil was born on March 15, 1934, to the late Archie and Hazel (nee: Anderson) Vines. He was a general laborer with the Occidental Petroleum Corp. in Cincinnati, OH for 44yrs. He was a member at Fowler Creek Freewill Baptist Church. During his spare time, Virgil enjoyed going to the Hebron Masonic Lodge #757 where he would listen to Bluegrass music. Virgil enjoyed being with family and friends and will be missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his sister, Viola Vines and brother, Donald Vines. Virgil is survived by his brothers, Billy (Judy) Vines, Roy Vines, Harold (Diane) Vines, sister, Betty (Delno) Lawson and sister-in-law, Donna Vines. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Highway, Florence, KY 41042 with funeral services to follow at 12:00PM. Burial will be at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery in Hebron, KY. Memorial contributions may be made to Fowler Creek Freewill Baptist Church, 4705 Fowler Creek Rd., Independence, KY 41017.
