Obituary of Steven "Steve" Shields

Steven “Steve” Ray Shields, 69 of Walton, KY, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 after a long fight with cancer surrounded by his loving family. Steve was born on August 17, 1953, to the late Virgil and Lena (nee: Tomlin) Shields. He later retired as a self-employed construction worker. Steve was a member of 7 Hills Church in Florence, KY. During his spare time, Steve enjoyed many things, from building hotrods, riding motorcycles, fishing, traveling, the local cruise-ins and car shows along with eating his favorite ice cream cake. Most of all Steve loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Lena Shields, brothers, Nelson, Gregory and Keith Shields. Steve leaves behind his loving children, Stephen “Chad” (Tasha Robinson) Shields and Briggette (Dana) Shields Coleman. He also leaves behind his stepsons, Josh and Justin (Jamie) Grueter, brother, Randall Shields, sister, Brenda Shields, loving partner, Loraine Grueter, mother-in-law, Helen and grandchildren, Trevor, Addison, Dana Jr., Noah, Ella, Arie, Triniti, Joseph, Jaxtyn and Landyn, as well as many nieces and nephews.
