Obituary of Sarah LaVerne Hodges

Sarah LaVerne Clifton Hodges, 80, of Walton, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a bus driver retired from Boone County Schools and a member of Beaver Lick Baptist Church. Her husband, Robert Hodges, and a daughter, Bonniesue Wilson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Robert "Danny" Hodges of Walton; daughters, Barbara Elliott and Sarah Elliott, both of Walton, LaVerne Gripshover of Hebron, Christina Brock of Florence, and Barbara Sue Wilson of Fairfield, Ohio; a sister, Elizabeth Reed of Walton; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Walton. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to the Hodges Family, c/o Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, P.O. Box 55, Walton, Ky. 41094.
