Obituary of Keith R. Shields

Keith R. Shields, 64, of Walton, KY, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Edgewood, KY surrounded by his loving family. Keith was born on November 26, 1958, in Covington, KY to the late Virgil and Lena Mae (nee: Tomlin) Shields. He was employed by the Department of Highways for Boone and Grant Counties for 23 years and was looking forward to retirement in December. During his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, carpentry and most of all being with his family. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Nelson and Greg Shields along with his sister-in-law, Sharon Shields. Keith leaves behind his loving daughters, Erin Shields, Shayna (Erick Beasley) Shields and Jaclyn Shields. He also leaves behind his brothers, Randall Shields, Steve (Loraine Grueter) Shields and sister, Brenda Shields along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence, KY with funeral services starting at 7:00PM.
