Dear Cathy,
First you were my friend then you became my little sister and finally my sister in law. I love you and will miss you till I see you again. You were the most caring and loving family member! You never met a stranger and compassionate beyond your years. When you loved you were completely in. Thank you for being the best wife and mother! I will miss your bright shining eyes! I know you will probably upset God because you will always be asking to check on your family.
Chubby, Chris, Joey and Lindsay you were loved and cared for by the best.
I will miss our 3 hour phone calls where I always laughed so hard I cried!
Rest painless and peacefully my sweet sister. Till we meet again all of love is with you!
Forever yours
Deb

LOTS of childhood memories both at our home in Ryland Heights as well as Aunt Barbara's home in Covington. We had such fun and were a motely crew. We played ball in the street with all of the Holmes stars and did not think anything about it. Cathy was FAST! Since there were several tracksters in both of our families, we were able to watch each other race at track meets. Cathy was a one girl wrecking crew since she did sprints of all distances, hurdles, and some field events if I'm not mistaken, etc. I kept trying to get her to try distance, but she never seemed to see what the attraction was in running lap after lap. Sprinters!!! You gotta love 'em!
We are all getting at the age where we have more years behind us than ahead of us. That is certainly sobering. It makes me give serious contemplation to what I will say to the Lord about my life when I stand before Him and give account for it. We all have to answer the same question in that moment. What did we do with Jesus?
We wish the Rump and Mersch families our deepest condolences. Losing cousins that we grew up with is losing part of our childhoods. We send love and sympathy to you and hope that you will find peace in thinking about all of the warm memories you had with Cathy. God Bless you!
Honored to be entrusted with the care and satisfaction of families since 1906
