Obituary of Leonard Eugene Calhoun

Leonard Eugene Calhoun, 74, of Independence, died Thursday at his residence. He was a retired car dealer, an Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Ludlow, the Disabled American Veterans, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Richardson Calhoun; sons, Edwin Calhoun of Milford, Ohio, Joe Calhoun of Lexington, and Jeff Calhoun of Independence; daughters, Barbara Cammack of Edgewood, Joyce Grigsby of Cincinnati, and Janice Freytag of Villa Hills; brothers, Lloyd Calhoun of Amelia, Ohio, Lynn Alan Calhoun of Goshen, Ohio, Leslie Calhoun of Burnside, Lemin Brent Calhoun of Cincinnati, and Larry Wayne Calhoun of Somerset; a sister, Linda Grider of Somerset; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Bethlehem Baptist Temple, 316 Adela Ave., Ludlow, Ky. 41016; or Disabled American Veterans, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, Ky. 41076
