Obituary of Gary Kenneth Krohn

Gary Kenneth Krohn, age 69, of Walton, KY passed away on 12/25/22.

Gary was born on 08/28/53 parents Kenneth and Vivian Krohn and siblings; Suzanne, Doug, Craig, Beverly, and Keith (KC). After Gary graduated from Waukegan High School he went on to live an amazing life. Gary was not only known as a hard worker but also for how he cared for and loved his family.

In 1980, Gary married the love of his life, Karen Krohn, and went on to grow his family to two daughters, Jenniffer & Stephanie. And the family continued to expand as Jen married Craig Lyness and had two grandsons, Aidan & Henry. Stephanie married Gustavo Ayala and had two grandkids, Abigail & Alexander.

Gary is retired from Bosch Enterprises after many of years of service and was currently working at the Boone County School District.

Gary will be remembered for his passion for camping and exploring the great unknown with his family. Always pulling him and Karen in the national landmarks. He is well known for going on epic hikes followed by saying “I did not think the hike would be that long” … 2 miles from the car. We will always remember the amazing campfires, fishing trips, and card games. Gary has the best green thumb that will be missed by all (and the best tomatoes EVER). He is ever the avid grill & smoke master, you’ve been blessed if you have had his brisket. But he is most known for his love of biking and on long trips saying “Karen, you can do it”.

We are now remembering Gary and the impact that he had on our lives. We are blessed to be included in his adventures.

The family will hold a remembrance for Gary in Waukegan, IL in the Spring of 2023 with his family.
