Buzzy was such a beautiful light in this sometimes crazy world. We met Buzzy in Florida, when they would come down and stay the winter. My husband did work for them on their place here. They even invited our family to come stay with them in Kentucky and we did work on their place there. I have never felt more invited into a family than I did with them. There is not a single person in that family that doesn’t exude warmth and make you feel like you belong. He introduced us to fried Speck (still my favorite fish today), fried pickles and fried cauliflower. We played cornhole for the first time. But most importantly, we learned what a hard working, good hearted family should be. I will forever hold on to my fond memories of him and consider myself truly blessed to have gotten to know him.

I met Buzzy through church while attending with my inlaws Parker and Sandra Fryman. I began working with him in October 1998 as a Road Driver at Roadway Express. He ran a Memphis bid and I worked on the extra board so our paths only crossed on the highway usually I-40 I'd see a Big R headed East and I'd hollar on the CB radio " who we got over there in the big R" in his sharp tone he'd say Buzz Saw who's that Freeloader? We'd give each other a smokey report and sign off catch on the flip side be safe.
Buzzy was a bigger than life character I ran to Memphis with him all the way down once. He taught me low 31 channel was the Roadway channel on our CB radios and how to talk skip on the side ban thousands of miles away. He sure liked his Radio and it was top notch.
He took me into Cuba Landing truck stop and bought me lunch. He kept going on about the Bannana pudding. Turns out they put crushed pineapple in it.
We had great experiences running the highways for a good company with good drivers and great men like Buzz Saw. I still cherish those days.
Rest in peace Brother.

I didn’t know Charles. I don’t believe that I ever met him, but I knew of him. I knew of his faith. I was personally impacted by three of his children - Brett, Amy and Scott. I met them all at Happy Hills Christian Camp and was impacted by each of them in different ways. I’m glad he was a faithful Christian man because in turn the faith he demonstrated to his children they in turn demonstrated to others. We never know how far our impact reaches. Only God knows that. We can be assured though that our actions have a ripple effect. Thank you for being faithful all those years ago.

Buzzy always had a warm welcoming smile. I always think of Amy talking about him coming home very late at night or wee hours of the morning from work and grilling out back and how the neighbors on Surfwood would talk about the grill smell in the middle of the night.
Honored to be entrusted with the care and satisfaction of families since 1906
