Obituary of Raymond L. Fawns

Raymond Fawns, 78, of Florence, KY, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022, at Village Care Center in Erlanger, KY. The son of the late Dorothy Tyson, Raymond was born in Covington, KY on June 13, 1944.

Raymond married the love of his life, Scheri {Littrell} Fawns, on February 15, 1974.

He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a former member of the Iron Horseman Club. Raymond owned and operated The Flea and We Antique Shop located in Covington, KY. When he wasn’t refinishing and building furniture, in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and watching every Cincinnati Reds game. He most of all loved his family and cherished the time spent with them.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Scheri Fawns; children Denise (Ryan) Skirvin and Tony Fawns; grandchildren Cassie, Kayla, Chance, Kamren, and Trinity; sisters Dorothy Valentine, Jean Chambers, Marjorie Stewart, and Flavia Elmore; and several great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Raymond was preceded in death by his mother, brother Stanley Fawns, and sister Agnes {Fawns} Reed.

Visitation will be held between 9 AM and 11 AM with the funeral service immediately following at 11 AM all at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 6056 Taylor Mill Rd. Latonia, KY 41015. Raymond will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the family in c/o Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Homes to assist with funeral expenses.
