Obituary of Patricia Maxine Stout
Patricia Maxine (nee Duncan) Stout, age 90, of Waxhaw, NC (previously of Erlanger, KY) passed away peacefully on August 9, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garfield & Olcie Duncan, her husband, William Stout Sr., her daughter, Sharon Stout, her son, William Stout Jr., a granddaughter, Patricia Ann Witterstaetter, and her siblings Jean Fish, Roberta Duncan, Betty Proctor, Varna Duncan, John Duncan, and Claude Duncan and several nephews.
She was a loving mother to and is survived by her daughters Becky Stout and Cindy (Rich) Witterstaetter. She was also a loving grandmother to five grandchildren: John (Tiffany) Stout, Christina (Joe) Schnell, Ashley Stout, Sarah & RJ Witterstaetter and five great-grandchildren Cole, Paige, Hunter, Collin & William. Also surviving is her daughter-in-law, Wanda Meece and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia retired from Levi Strauss & Co. in Florence, KY where she worked for 31 years as an Inventory Control Lead. She loved gardening, reading, cooking and being with her family. If you were lucky enough to have had one of her meals then you know how gifted she was in this area! She enjoyed country music, Elvis, and gospel music. She lived a simple, yet focused life to care for her family, often placing others needs above her own.
She lived with her daughter, Cindy, and her family in Waxhaw, NC for her last five years of life and enjoyed many activities, trips, outings and celebrations. She had a quick-witted sense of humor and was adored by all who met her. She loved her family fiercely and there was no better example of a strong yet graceful woman.
Friends and family may call on the family at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY on Monday, August 15th with visitation from 9:00-11:00 am and funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright, KY. Memorials may be made to Council on Aging Union County (caunion.org).
