Mr Qualls was always friendly and willing to the support the safety and welfare of the Boone County Sheriff's Office. Many evenings while working the Amazon crosswalk detail, Mr. Qualls would stop, give me water, ask how my day was going, and offer advice for the lighting or safety of the deputies and Amazon workers. Along with his many ideas, he was always quick to give a smile, show off his new teeth and even invite my husband (whom he never met) to his church.
My thoughts and prayers are with him and the entire family.
Rest in Peace Don Qualls.
