Obituary of Patricia Joan Fischer Hungler
Patricia Joan Fischer Hungler, age 70, of Verona, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022. She was a retired Teacher for Boone County Schools, where she taught for over 20 years primarily at New Haven Elementary, and a member of First Church of Christ in Burlington, KY. Patti enjoyed gardening, boating, sewing, crafts, traveling, cooking and entertaining, and especially attending the activities of her grandchildren. Her husband, Michael Hungler, and parents, Richard and Sarah Margaret Meade Fischer, all preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband, Phil Jones; daughters, Amanda Gayle Hungler Milner (Shane) and Michelle Leigh Hungler Kerns (Larry); brothers, Richard Dennis Fischer (Naomi), Roger Edward Fischer (Barbara), and David Richard “Rick” Fischer (Sonja); grandchildren, Sara Ballinger (Nick), Mackenzie Milner, Evan Kerns, Aidan Kerns, Noah Milner, Caroline Buddenberg, Alex Buddenberg, Lizzie Hoffman, Zoey Hoffman, Catherine Buddenberg, Audrey Hoffman, Abigail Jones, Gabby Hoffman, and Christopher Jones, Jr.; and great grandson, Wyatt Ballinger. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Erlanger, KY.
