Obituary of Phillip David Napier

     Phillip David “Phil” Napier of Warsaw, KY passed away surrounded by his loving family at Mount Washington Care Center in Cincinnati, OH on Monday, April 4, 2022, at the vibrant age of 55.

     He was born in Owenton, KY on April 15, 1966, the son of the late James Napier and Patricia Chapman. Phil proudly served his country in the United States Army having retired as an Artillery Lance Crew Member. Upon retiring, Phil worked for the Gallatin County Fire Department having served as Captain. In his spare time, Phil enjoyed the outdoors; from simply mowing his yard to traveling on trips to Florida. He also volunteered as Boy Scouts Cub Master Troop #132. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren, who he cherished deeply.

     Preceding Phil in death were his parents; stepfather, Roy Chapman and two aunts, Mary Miller and Joyce Riley.

     Those left surviving to carry on Phil’s legacy include his devoted and loving wife of 27 years, Sandra Napier; sons, James Lee (Samantha) Napier, Nickolas Napier and Connor Napier; siblings, Denise Walton, Teri (Patrick) Chapman Bradley, Cheri Breedwell-Marin, Terri (Eugene) Morgan, Donna Hicks Tilley, Tammy (Wade) Miller, Bobby (Pam) Chapman and Jeff (Lisa) Chapman; grandchildren, Harmony, Harley, Raven and Leonidas; as well as many other close relatives, friends and co-workers who are now emptier upon his passing.

     A visitation celebrating Phil’s life will take place from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on what would have been his 56^th birthday, Friday, April 15, 2022, at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, 45 N. Main Street, Walton, KY 41094. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Phil will then be laid to rest with full military honors at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY.

     In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that expressions of sympathy in Phil’s name be made to the Gallatin County Fire & Rescue, 402 Main Cross Street, Warsaw, KY 41095.
