Obituary of Richard Bachmeyer

     Richard Wesley Bachmeyer, Sr., age 93, of Florence, KY, went on to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Florence, KY. 

     He was a retired Veterinarian, the former owner of Bachmeyer Animal Clinic (over 37 years), a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and a member of Walton United Methodist Church.  Dick was very adventurous and loved to travel and camp with his late wife, Margaret Ann.  One of his excursions included climbing the Grand Teton Mountain in Wyoming, while in his 50’s and losing over 20 lbs. through his efforts.  Dick also enjoyed golfing and square dancing. 

     He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Sue Edmonds; son, Richard Wesley Bachmeyer, Jr. (Robin); sister, Susan Wilmer (Jim); and two grandchildren, Olivia Bachmeyer and Elli Bachmeyer; and his dear friend, Lori Martin. 

     A gathering of friends will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a memorial service beginning immediately after at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 8461 Dixie Hwy., Florence, KY 41042.  Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Ft.
