Obituary of Judy Carol McGuire Pickett

     Judy Carol McGuire Pickett of Petersburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at St. Elizabeth in Florence, KY. She was born in Beattyville, KY on April 27, 1938. She retired from working in customer service for many years with U.S. Office Supply and was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. When Judy was younger, she really enjoyed going camping and bowling. Later in life, she found joy in playing bingo, gardening, and listening to Bluegrass music. Judy was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals as well as the UK Wildcats. Most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved family.

     She is survived by her loving daughters, Shellie (Jim) Ishmael and Tracy Keel; grandchildren, Amanda Keel, Jacob Keel, Chance Ishmael, and Gage Ishmael; and other friends and relatives who will cherish her memory.

     She is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy McGuire; husband, Gary Pickett; special aunt, Geraldine Bowman; and other aunts and uncles.

     A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike Independence, KY 41051. Judy will be laid to rest next to her husband in the KY Veterans Cemetery in Williamstown, KY at a later date.
