Obituary of Richard Honaker

Richard Honaker, age 50, of Latonia, passed away at his home enveloped in the love of family on November 1, 2021. The son of Edward and Terry (New) Honaker, he was born in Washington, D.C. on February 22, 1971.

Richard was a sports fanatic and especially loved to watch Redskins football and UK basketball. He also enjoyed horse racing. Don’t let the tough exterior fool you!  Deep down, he was a happy-go-lucky guy with a big heart. Richard will be remembered as a hard-working person who started and maintained his own business and moved his family from his home of Maryland to make a better life. Most of all, Richard treasured his grandkids, who he lived to spoil. They will definitely miss going to the gas station to get candy with Papaw.

Richard was preceded in death by his father Edward Honaker; his brother Edward Honaker and his beloved wife Mindy Honaker.  Surviving to carry on his love and light are his children Rachael Maynard (Taylor), Richard Honaker (Brandi), Cory Honaker (Katelynn); his siblings Melissa Carter, Danny Honaker and Mike Carter; his five grandchildren Gaige, Richard, Alaina, Julian, Gracie, and Sawyer and his mom Camille Honaker.

A celebration of Richard’s life will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Saturday November 13, 2021 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, 11382 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.
